Expressing myself as I am, through words
Outside of people's judgements, opinions, potential thoughts about me
Has been one of the greatest challenges I've ever faced
From second guessing myself over + over, to double checking if i've written or said something right/wrong, to going over conversations/events in my mind about what I should have/could have done differently
It's fear of being judged
It's feeling unsafe to just be who I am
It's me caught up in my own mind
And in so many ways, it's also me judging me
Stepping more outside my mind + outside these thoughts over the last few weeks has been incredibly freeing
And this painting is a reflection of the opening + freedom I've been experiencing
